In the work of Tom Fr\u00fcchtl the boundaries between reality and painting blur – and sometimes even disappear. By challenging the observer to look closely, to question what they have already perceived and reinterpret what they have already cognitively arranged, the artist creates a field of tension that is also represented in the exhibition catalog. More questions arise: Is what I see now on the page the illustration of a real object? A painting thereof? Even the book\u2019s cover creates an illusion of materiality.
