Rupprecht Geiger: The Absolute Image
The special challenge of this catalog was in preparing the images, which are painted in neon colors, to allow for their most faithful reproduction using a four-color print. Throughout his life, color was the central element in Geiger’s work. Thus, even our cover design suggests that “all other material should be subordinate to color”. The catalog as whole follows closely this position of the artist.
