SILVER SKY. A School Art Project
This catalogue presents the results of an interesting week-long project that took place in the sculpture park of the Erich Hauser Foundation and was presented in its exhibition hall: In a workshop led by the Swiss artist Andreas Schneider, children and young people created their own works. All of them referenced Erich Hauser’s sculptures, some of which are so tall that one can only grasp them as a whole by looking upwards. This looking up into the sky was the starting point for the project concept “Silver Sky”.
In the book, a chronology of days is interwoven with each of the projects. Each double page shows – strikingly reduced to black, white and silver – a sketch and the transposed sculpture, accompanied by comments from the students.
