Marc Chagall. Die Bilder und die Dichtung

Marc Chagall: Images and Poems

Those who know Chagall’s colorful work probably expect an exhibition catalog of his to be equally as saturated with hues. But we opted for a very reserved cover, which doesn’t over-anticipate the artist. The book contains Chagall’s original graphic cycles, which were exhibited in the exhibition of the same name and made accessible through an extensive museum education program. A color-coded system guides you through the chapters and provides an overview. The endpapers were printed in a typical Chagall blue, the grippy paper stock emphasizing with its pleasant feel the poetry of the pictures.
