Salon in Haus Illig, a Protocol

The artist Kathleen Jahn, for whom I have previously designed publications featuring her photographic works, invited guests to three salon evenings in autumn 2019. The participants discussed various topics that arose from the overarching theme of “song”. The idea for the evenings was, in the words of the artist, “(…) to turn conversation into an artwork.”

This booklet gives insights into conversations from all three of these evenings. It takes its color cues from Kathleen Jahn’s preferred medium, black and white photography, as well as from the blue seating used in the salons.
